Current Legislative Focus
HB 420 - Hybrid Massage Learning
House Bill 420 represents a significant shift for massage therapy students and schools in Delaware. By formally recognizing hybrid learning models, the bill allows for a portion of the curriculum to be delivered through structured online platforms while maintaining high standards for hands-on clinical training. This initiative aims to increase accessibility for students in rural areas and provide flexibility without compromising the professional competence required for Delaware licensure.
Certified Massage Technician Licensure
Change in the status of Certified Massage Technicians. Â All previous therapists have been grandfathered in but there will be no new massage technicians going into the future.
Delaware Policy & Regulatory Updates
Stay informed about the latest regulatory changes and policy decisions impacting Delaware's massage therapy profession. We monitor the Board of Massage and Bodywork to ensure our members remain compliant and ahead of legislative shifts.  Unless notified otherwise, the Board meets on the third Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m., with the exception of July and December. All meetings are open to the general public and are held in the Cannon Building, 861 Silver Lake Boulevard, in Dover. The meeting schedule is available at the State of Delaware public meeting calendar.
